It’s not always easy to conceptualize a design, but with limitless inspiration from all that God has created, the process can begin. Experiencing everything that exists in our world allows for an understanding of things that don’t. For example, seeing an Egyptian Fayoumi chicken walk about the landscape indicates what the once living Velociraptor would have looked like roaming the earth. From this understanding a new, custom creation takes shape. The dinosaurs of yesterday still reveal themselves in their creature relatives living today.
Once an idea has taken shape, it’s time to work it out in the physical real. This happens through pencil on paper, paint on canvas and board, or sometimes just straight to clay. No matter the media, the process remains the same. It can be simpler if the goal is a clay figure or ornament, and more complex if it’s a custom dinosaur. If seeking a clay figure, the only real variable is the level of detail that is desired. Almost always the final product is going to be an artist rendering, something that bears a resemblance or likeness, and not a scale replica. When a customized dino figure is being created, the base creature is an important first step. This may not always be the case because sometimes the general shape is all that’s needed to start. From that point the level of custom detail depends on time and materials selected. The more attributes the more complex the project.

At Liam’s Art Studio, I try and create beautiful art that represents the beauty I see in everyday life. This can be expressed in my paintings, my clay creations, or my custom dinos. Or maybe your pet fish died, that you really loved, and you would like to have an ornament to remember them every Christmas. Maybe there’s a toy at the store you like, but you don’t want to buy it because something is missing from it. Like a Jurassic Park dino that you wish came with bigger scales, more horns, in a different color, or all of those. I can do it for you. I can take the already cool dino and modify or customize it so you say, “WOW, that’s it, that’s what I was thinking it should have!”
When you look at my art, you are seeing an object through my eyes—an artistic representation. If you like the way I see things through art, please allow me to create something that can give you as much joy as it does for me to create. Remember, if you show me a picture of your pet dog or goldfish and ask that I make you a clay ornament or painting that looks like it, it’s not going to be a realistic replica.
